We had fewer shows this week than the week before, but then we did fewer reports than we did the week before. So we have a lot of catching up to do. Whenever we have a lot of reports we try to do things methodically, so we don’t confuse ourselves. It’s a senior thing. So we will do this geographically going east to west.
We are still awaiting results from New Hampshire, so our first stop is North Branch NJ for Sunday’s Westchester County Kennel Club show. It was the WCKC’s first show across the Hudson and while the venue is lovely, we do miss the old Lyndhurst Castle in the background. Dr Tamas Jakkel’s super seven were the Irish Setter, GCH CH Shadagee Caught Red Handed, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Field's Bahama Sands, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Blueberry's Surely You Jest, the Toy Poodle, GCH CH Smash Jp Moon Walk, the Standard Poodle, Hillwood Ale Kai Walking On Air, and Saturday’s BIS winner, the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins. BIS went to the nation’s Number Four Dog all Breeds, the Boxer, Scarlett. The Westchester show is not only one of the most prestigious stops on the calendar, it is one of the bigger ones. We will have to wait for the final numbers before we can tell if Scarlett will move up in the rankings. Now you know why handler Diego Fernando Garcia is grinning.
